Functional description
The Digital Contact Wire Wear Gauge is suitable for measuring the diameter of grooved and round contact wires, the height of flat profile contact wires and for identifying the permissible wear on all standard round and profiled contact wires.  Profile contact wires in accordance to EN 50149.
Nominal diameter of contact wires AC80 = 10.60 mm, AC100 = 12.00 mm, AC107 = 12.30 mm, AC120 = 13.20 mm, AC150 = 14.80 mm
Wear limit of 20 % of the nominal cross-sectional area is the criterion for replacing the contact wire
Minimum contact wire thicknesses (according to DB Ril 997): Ri 80 = 8.1 mm, Ri/RiS 100 = 9.2 mm, RiS 120/RiM 120 = 10.0 mm
